Materials may only be reproduced if you have obtained written consent from us. The materials may not be altered in any way and clear credit must be given below the material. The credit line must contain the URL of the website where the material is taken from (e.g. ©www.suedafrika.net). If the material is used on a website, an active link must be established.

Terms & Conditions of Advertising on our Travel Websites

Bookings of Advertisements
Bookings of feature pages or banners on our travel websites need to be submitted in writing, preferably by email or fax or by using our advert bookings form. Advertisers must include the name of their establishment or company, their website address, name of owner or manager, address, telephone number and email address. We will have a look at your website a.s.a.p. and then respond by email or telephone to discuss the requested advert with you. We reserve the right to reject an advert if we do not find it suitable for our travel websites.

Payments for Advertisements
A booked and accepted advertisement needs to be paid for in advance, before we can design, translate and publish it. We will email an invoice as PDF file (or WORD file, or per fax, if requested). Payments are requested to be made by credit card (Visa or Mastercard only) on our secure "Payments" page. You need to enter the 8-digit reference code which you will find on our invoice.

Design of Advertisements
The design of advertisements - especially feature pages - is included in the subscription fee. Photos and descriptions will be taken from your website unless we are instructed otherwise by you. 4 to 7 photos are needed for a feature page, with a minimum size of 249 x 170 pixels (width x height). If we cannot find suitable photos on your website, send us photos and/or a description of your venue or company per email. Before your advert goes live, you will receive a draft per email. After we have received your approval, your advert will be translated into German and then both versions will be published on our travel websites.

Duration of Advertisements
Subscriptions for feature pages on our travel guide websites are valid for one full year from the date your advert is published on our websites. Banner subscriptions are also valid for one year or, on request, for 6 months.

Renewal of Advertisements
Prior to your advertisement expiring you will receive an email (for practical reasons with an attached invoice for the next year), from us advising that your advert is due for renewal. You may then cancel or renew your advert. If you wish to cancel, you need to advise us within 14 days after having received our invoice. Cancellations have to be delivered in writing, by email or fax. Failure to notify us of your intent to cancel, amounts to a tacit renewal and fees for the following year become due.

Updating of Advertisements
Updates to your advertisement - changing of photos and description - are done free of charge once a year. Minor updates (changing of the description of your venue or changing of contact details) are free of charge twice a year. Further updates are done at cost. All update requests must be submitted by email.

Change of ownership
If you have sold your establishment or company, we request your notification. The new owner will be required to confirm his or her wish to continue advertising with us in writing (email).

Privacy Policy
The privacy of the users of our websites is protected. We do not collect personally identifiable data of our users automatically. We only use data which were given to us voluntarily. These data will only be known to us. Certain non-personal data (e.g. the type of web browser used, the kind of operating system used and the domain name of the Internet provider) are - as a standard routine of the webserver - being stored in a protocol file. These data are used for internal purposes in a condensed and non-personal form. The collection of personal data is only permitted, if the website visitors deliver the information voluntarily (e.g. if they fill in and deliver forms). A transfer of data to third parties is excluded.

Legal Validity
If sections or individual terms of these terms & conditions stipulated on this page are not legal or correct, the content or validity of the other parts remain uninfluenced by this fact.
